The Provincetown CabaretFest, under the guidance of John O’Neil, first appeared in 1999. Now, singer and Cape Cod resident Patricia Fitzpatrick and Ambassador Productions has brought Mr. O’Neil back to help relaunch the event (from June 4-7) in it’s original format. This weekend will be jammed-packed with activities that promise to be educational, entertaining, and fun, and celebrate The Art of Cabaret!
Over four days and three nights, the Provincetown CabaretFest 2015 with feature a Thursday night launch party, master classes and workshops (including insights on singing, staging shows, and songwriting), a series of revues at various Provincetown venues, a Friday night variety show featuring professional and aspiring performers, and a Saturday night show featuring cabaret star Mark Nadler as the headliner.
The event ends with a Sunday Buffet Brunch at the Crown & Anchor Hotel, during which six chosen Master Class candidates will perform before cabaret fans, other performers, and cabaret reviewers. (It was at such a Master Class at the 2000 CabaretFest that a local performer, Mary Callanan, was spotted in 2000, and ended up performing on Broadway and in Las Vegas.
Ticket purchases on-line will cease midnight May 31st.Sales will continue in Provincetown at our booth or the Crown & Anchor Box Office on Commercial Street June 4, 5 and 6.
Thursday, June 4
Launch Party: The Martini and Me
Dress in your best flapper costume, come to the Speak-Easy Party and enjoy a coctail, sponsored by Berkshire Mountian Distillers and appetizers by Moscow57. Mix it in with laughter, a dry martini and a guest appearance
by the weekend’s headliner, Mark Nadler.
This is a night to kick up your heels, socialize and meet the stars of CabaretFest 2015.
