Dana-Lorge-Cabaret-Scenes-Magazine_212Multi-MAC Award winner Dana Lorge is back at the Metropolitan Room for her monthly variety show. This edition features Musical Director Maestro Barry Levitt on piano and Jon Burr on bass. Scheduled to appear:

Rick Crom (Singer/ Actor/Composer /Lyricist/ Comedian): Rick is a Backstage Bistro Award winner, MAC Award winner and a three-time Drama Desk Award nominee for “Outstanding Lyrics” who has appeared on TV, Broadway and Off-Broadway. His musical NEWSical was recognized with his first Drama Desk nomination for “Outstanding Revue.” His acting debut was in the Broadway production of The Goodbye Girl. Other roles have been in Footloose and Urinetown. He has appeared in Encores! productions and with the Chicago City Limits. 

Jillian Laurain (Singer/Teacher/Director): Jillian is the recipient of the 2014 Bistro Award for “Outstanding Vocalist” for her show, My Broadway – 100 Years of the Great White Way. She is also known for her tribute show Hello, Gorgeous! – A Tribute to Barbra Streisand.  She is an opera and musical theater performer currently preparing her upcoming show Romanza, which will be at the Metropolitan Room July 23. She is a vocal technician and mentor to many cabaret, opera and musical theater performers.
 
Sara Zahn (Singer/Songwriter), with pianist  Allan Kashkin: Sara won the Backstage Bistro Award for “Outstanding Vocalist” and The Hanson Award from MAC. She has performed in the Lyrics & Lyricists series at the 92nd St. Y and her cabaret shows have gotten rave reviews from The New York Times, Rex Reed, The Daily News and Variety. Over 25 years, Sara has written over 200 songs heard internationally on TV and in films. Later this year her CD, WitchcraftThe Songs of Carolyn Leigh, will be joined on Amazon and iTunes by her new CD, Both Sides of Bernstein – The Songs of Leonard Bernstein.
 
Dorothy Bishop (Singer/Entertainer/Impersonator): Dorothy was a finalist on America’s Got Talent season 4 and has performed at Carnegie Hall with the NY Pops. She toured with the first National production of Master Class with Faye Dunaway and is currently touring with her own show, The Dozen Divas.
 
Marissa Mulder (Singer) with pianist Bill Zeffiro: Marissa has won many awards including the 2011 MetroStar Talent Challenge at the Metropolitan Room. She is the recipient of the 2013 Noël Coward Award, the Julie Wilson Award, MAC Awards for Major Artist and Album of the Year. She has performed at the Café Carlyle, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and Feinstein’s/54 Below.
