We’re back from our summer break!

For some time now, Cabaret Scenes has had a segment on David Kenney’s weekly radio program Everything Old Is New Again on WBAI, 99.5 fm (WBAI.org; oldisnew.org) during which editor Frank Dain would discuss the latest issue of the magazine and play tracks from CDs of those featured in the issue.

Well, we have been taking this one step further to present Everything Old Is New Again LIVE at the Metropolitan Room the first Sunday of each month. It’s like the old days of radio when Judy Garland or Frank Sinatra sang in front of a studio audience while the show was broadcast live.

Each month, Frank invites two or three people who are in the latest issue to have a brief chat and to perform. He’ll also discuss highlights of the cabaret scene. In addition, David will have his own guests who will entertain and with whom he will chat. The show will run 12:30-2:30 pm. There is a $20 cover and 2-drink minimum with proceeds going to support Cabaret Scenes Ltd.

Scheduled to appear October 2
