Sinatra at 100

In honor of the centennial of Frank Sinatra’s birth (December 12, 1915), Symphony Space presented a nine-hour, three-segment marathon of 100 songs associated with Ol’ Blue Eyes performed by dozens of performer. The first segment began at 2 pm; the second at 5 pm and the last at 8 pm. Though the music-making didn’t last until “the wee small hours of the morning,”  it did last “night and day.”

Radio personality Jonathan Schwartz, no stranger to the Sinatra catalog, hosted. The house band throughout the day was be led by Russ Kassoff on piano, Dick Sarpola on bass and John Redsecker on drums. Sinatra at 100 was produced and curated by Joel Fram and Annette Jolles, with Jolles as director and Henry Nettleton as assistant producer.
