Christine-Andreas-Cabaret-Scenes-Magazine_212Here’s Ron Forman’s review of this show when it played NYC’s 54 Below:

In English or French, if there is a better, purer singer performing on a cabaret stage than Christine Andreas, I have not heard that voice. Working with musical director/ husband Martin Silvestri, Love Is Good is a pure delight from beginning to end. Andreas’ voice is both sweet and soaring, her demeanor on stage is charming and funny. The accompaniment on piano and accordion by Silvestri blends with her truly beautiful voice. Her patter between songs was interesting, entertaining and often hilarious.

She opened with “Storybook,” a number she introduced in The Scarlet Pimpernel, followed by “Fly Me to the Moon.” “My Heart Stood Still” began softly and ended dramatically. An amusing story about performing at the White House for George H.W. Bush preceded a lilting “I Could Have Danced All Night.” Silvestri joined Andreas for a very funny duet of “Rhode Island Is Famous for You.” An imitation of Sammy Cahn preceded a soft “Teach Me Tonight.” The duo charmed and moved me with “I Remember It Well.” Silvestri on accordion was the perfect accompaniment for Andreas on “What If We Went to Italy,” and her closing medley in French and English of “I Love Paris” and “La vie en rose.”
