September 24: Cabaret Cares

Celebrate Joseph Macchia’s birthday with an evening of song. On September 24th Joseph will celebrate his birthday on the actual day with the kickoff of Season 11 of Cabaret Cares. He decided many years ago, “No more parties or gifts.”  He just wanted to celebrate with his favorite singers, who all happen to be close friends as well, and to make the party a benefit for his charity.

Cabaret Cares is the award-winning series that benefits Help Is on the Way Today, a not-for-profit created by Joseph, that helps children, teens and youth living with HIV and AIDS. Once a month, a new show is created and can feature Broadway show casts, up-and-coming talent, and many from the New York cabaret community.

Scheduled to perform (subject to change): Dave August, Josephine Bianco, Hanna Burke, Ira Lee Collings, Gary Crawford, Tom Gamblin, Anita Gillette, Danielle Grabianowski, Marla Green, Beau Howard, Gary Liazardo, Sam McDonald, Michael Lewis Mejia, Doreen Montalvo (via video), Sidney Myer, Warren Schein, Vince Smith & Nora Davis, Tracy Stark, and Dorian Woodruff.
