The world remembers Frank Sinatra as the swinging, swaggering Chairman of the Board, icon of swank Vegas bravado. But the world often forgets he began his career as a boy crooner at the height of the Big Band era, a time when sentimental, romantic singing was all the rage. And no boy crooner generated a more romantic swoon than Sinatra. In a few short years, he went from being a singing waiter in a forlorn New Jersey roadhouse to a hysteria-inducing teen idol. Join singer/pianist Justin Hayford as he charts Sinatra’s formative years, and learn how this skinny singer from Hoboken would change popular music forever.

Justin Hayford is an award-winning cabaret artist who has performed in show rooms from coast to coast. He’s released four CDs on the Los Angeles-based LML Music label. Frank Sinatra, Boy Crooner is his eighth annual benefit concert for AIDS Legal Council.

“Vocalist/pianist Justin Hayford is a terrific singer who has a knack for finding good songs that are far from overdone, and sharing them with those who have discerning taste. Hayford’s light baritone and superb phrasing are easy on the ears, and makes each lyric come alive.”  — Jersey Jazz
