Andrea-Marcovicci-Cabaret-Scenes-MagazineA bouquet of love songs by one of America’s most beloved collaborations – The brothers Gershwin. A departure from Andrea’s usual songbook series, this show focuses on the delight of romance found within the music of George Gershwin, the lyrics of his brother, Ira, the passionate rhythm of Edna St. Vincent Millay, Dorothy Parker, Ogden Nash, and other poets, and the warmth of a lover’s eyes when enchanted by “requited” love.Selections include rediscovered gems and perennial favorites: “Boy Wanted,” “I Was So Young and You Were So Beautiful,” “Blah, Blah, Blah,” “Embraceable You,” “He Loves and She Loves,” “I’ve Got a Crush on You,” “Isn’t It a Pity,” “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off,” “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “S’Wonderful” and “The Man I Love.”Actress and singer, Golden Globe nominee, Andrea Marcovicci, has costarred with Tom Selleck, Danny DeVito, Woody Allen, Sir Michael Caine, and Sam Waterston, among others. She’s created over thirty nightclub acts, sold out Carnegie Hall, and appeared in concert at the White House, and with numerous orchestras – including the Chicago Symphony for the Millennium celebration!

“Seeing her recent show at The Gardenia reminded me anew that anyone interested in performing cabaret needs to see Andrea Marcovicci do it. No one understands, or delivers, that special and specific art form better than she. Seeing one of her shows is always both a pleasure and an education.” Stephen Schwartz
